TLC205 and Mojo Monday

Hi Ladies,

   How are ya’ today?  Kyler was super tired and is taking a really long nap so I thought I would make a card!  Yesterday’s challenge on SCS was to make a card with paper pleats.  I was blog hopping over the weekend and saw this  tutorial by Chat.  She is SUPER talented and as soon as I saw the tutorial I knew I wanted to try it.  It fit in perfectly with the TLC challenge as well.  I found Julee’s Mojo Monday  blog a while ago and really wanted to start participating but you know how things go … But I thought since I was making a card anyway I would see if I could put everything into one card.  Everything worked out perfect the sketch for Mojo Monday it had the exactly right spot to stick that flower I wanted to make!  Lucky Me!

I am LOVING this card, but it is super fat.  I don’t think I’ll ever be able to mail it unless I stick it in a box, I think it’s about a 1/2″ thick.  It will have to be hand delivered, or put on a present or something.  Not that that’s a bad thing, I’ve just never made anything quite so big.

What’s in the mailbox?

Here are a couple of super duper cute valentine treat boxes I made for my boys!  I saw these tins at Target and I couldn’t say no!  They are basically the same, just have different names on the front and Andrew’s is Chrome (silver really, but since chrome is his favorite color I’ll acquiesce) and Kyler’s is White.  I think I’ll fill these with chocolate candy and I’ve got a fun little book for Kyler. 

I’ve got to say, I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Valentine’s bundle.  It is SO much fun to use!  If you don’t have it, I’m here to tell ya’, you need it!

Origami Box TLC 203

When I saw last week’s Technique challenge on Splitcoast I knew that I really wanted to make one, but didn’t have a lot of time to do it.  But I finally got around to it this week and this is what I came up with.  A week late is better than nothin’, plus it was SUPER fun to make.

I think I might make another one with the Love You Much bundle.  I am LOVING that bundle!  So, we’ll see how much time I have and make a little valentine treat for someone!

Baby Girl Flip Book

I made another flip book for a neighbor of mine who just had a baby girl.  I saw these K & Co. stickers and used them as my inspiration.   I was lucky I had some paper at home that matched because standing in the store I didn’t even think about it.  I just bought the stickers and left.  I’m not always the quickest …

I really do love these stickers and I hope Patty and baby Lucy like them too!
 
  
 

Scrapbook Sunday #16

Hello Ladies!  Hope you all are enjoying a nice relaxing weekend!  I know I am.  I locked myself in my craft room for about 4hours today and got A LOT done!  Then my sweet husband took me out to dinner!  We went to Olive Garden … YUMM!!!  I ate WAY WAY WAY too much!  I’m sitting here still feeling full!

I’m posting Sunday’s Scrapbook page a couple of hours early because I’m not sure if I’ll have time to post tomorrow.  We have church from 1-4 (not my favorite time) and the morning flys by and once you get home, it’s time for dinner, bath time and then bedtime for Kyler and Mom is usually not far behind! 

Isn’t this such a fun page.  I love these pictures, but it’s also a super fun and easy layout.

It’s a BOY!!!

I had my 20 week ultrasound yesterday and guess what … baby boy #2 is on his way!  I am super duper excited!  We found out a couple of weeks ago that we were having a boy because the doc couldn’t find the heartbeat on the dopler  monitor so he took us back to have an ultrasound.  But during the ultrasound he was 99.7% sure it was a girl, but then he said “Nope, your having a boy” … But during the ultrasound yesterday there was NO doubt about it!  Loud and Proud, my baby is a BOY!

Welcome Baby Girl!

A friend of mine had a baby last week and I wanted to make a super fun card for her to welcome her little one.  I of course had to start with the bella rose paper which has got to be my favorite designer paper!  I also wanted to make sure that I had enough room for everything I wanted to put on the card so I made a 5×5 instead of a regular A2 size card.   For some reason when I sat down to make this card I managed to include just about everything you can on a card, cuttlebug, vinyl thickers, tons of ribbon, stitching and lots of layers. 

I absolutely love it, what do you think?

Scrapbook Sunday #15

Hi Guys,

  Sorry it’s been so long since I’ve posted … I’ve been busy working on a couple of projects and getting ready for club.  Which was super fun, btw!

  Here is a fun 6×6 page of my little man.  It’s kind of hard to see the picture, but he was riding a horse for the first time.  I’ve got to say, 6×6 pages are my FAVORITE!  I love them, it only takes about 20 minutes to put together and the focus is the picture, not the embellishments when you get a lot going on a 12×12.

It’s a Boy Birthday

First off … Happy Birthday to my sweet DH!  I am so lucky to be married to Andrew!  He’s the best friend I could ever ask for!

So, here is the birthday card I made for him.  I have a SERIOUSLY hard time making masculine birthday cards so I shamelessly stole thiscard from karmagirl on SCS.  I used different stamps and colors, but pretty much copied everything else.  I thought I would hurry and post this before we head out for dinner.  Hope you ladies are having a super weekend!
