A Christmas Thank You

Posted by emileehathaway on December 31, 2008

We had such a wonderful Christmas that I wanted to send out little thank you notes to tell everyone thanks again for all the fun things and for the fun times!

Here is a s SUPER easy little card!  I love that little snowflake punch so much that when I sat down to make these cards I knew I wanted to use it.  I also knew I wanted to use my cuttlebug folders … I don’t feel I use that fun little tool enough!

Scrapbook Sunday #14

Posted by emileehathaway on December 28, 2008

Hi Everyone!

I sincerely hope that every single one of you had a wonderful Christmas!  I know I certainly did!  It was so much fun to watch my little man open up his presents.  It was so wonderful to see him so excited, a much better time that last year.  He was only 8 months old last year at Christmas and simply cried when it was time to open presents.  This year, he didn’t understand exactly what was happening.   He doesn’t understand Santa or where or why there were gifts, but he knew who Joseph, Mary and the baby Jesus were (aka Da da, Mama, and baba).  That’s what is really important though.  He was completely enthralled with staring at the nativity, it was all I could do to keep him from touching or breaking them.  🙂  Too Fun!

One of the gifts I made this year was a calendar for my mom (the SU! desktop calendar), here is one of the 6×6’s I made for it.

Christmas Cards #3, and #4

Posted by emileehathaway on December 22, 2008

Here are the last two attempts at my Christmas cards.  I used to only make one card and just batch cut and then send them all out, but I’ve got to say I really like having several to choose from.

Just three more sleeps ’til Christmas!  I am so excited for Christmas morning.  It’s going to be so fun to watch Kyler open presents!

OK, so I shameless stole this idea from my neighbor Tammy who brought over a bag of treats in something that looked very similar.  Also, I have been ogling all season long the Martha Stewart snowflake punches and I finally broke down and bought one yesterday and I cannot tell you how much I LOVE it!  It is the cutest little punch ..  I only wish I wouldn’t have waited so long to buy one!

Paper: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Whisper White

Gift Card anyone?

Hi Ladies,

Here is a link that I found on Julee’s blog … I am always looking for fun ways to dress up drab gifts and this solves that problem perfectly!  I LOVE how simple and fun to make these were!  So, if you are giving gift cards this holiday season, I challenge you to dress up the packaging!

Christmas Card #2

Posted by emileehathaway on December 19, 2008

OK – So I like this card much better than the card I posted yesterday.  I think it came out much much better.  I really like all the 3D images.  It gives it much more character.  What do you think?

So, after I posted last night I said I was going to go wrap Christmas presents, but after I closed my laptop, I immediately fell asleep!  Guess I was tired LOL! 🙂  So, tonight I really am going to go wrap presents!

Christmas Card #1

Posted by emileehathaway on December 18, 2008

I originally sat down to make my Christmas cards with this idea in mind, but after making this one, I decided I didn’t like it enough to make any more.  So, this is the one and only.  I’ve got to be honest with you though, I was super sad because in my head it was going to be the cutest card … but once it was done the only thing I could think of was “Not so much”.

Well, I am off to wrap the Christmas presents that Mr. Brown brought today!  Hope you all have a nice night.

2009 Create-a-Calendar

Posted by emileehathaway on December 17, 2008

Hi Everyone,

Sorry it has taken SO stinkin long for me to post, but it has been quite a couple of weeks!

Here is what we made at club this last week and I have got to say  I just LOVE the Create-a-Calendar.  It was the only think I ordered out of the Holiday Mini … which is usually NOT like me but once I saw it I knew that if I ordered nothing else, I HAD to have this!

Here are a couple of pictures of the fun project … one of the inside and one of the outside.  Just fyi, I used a bind it all to bind the book instead of using the folder SU supplied.

Take care … Hope you are all enjoying this wonderful christmas season!

How Many Days ’til Christmas?

Posted by emileehathaway on December 3, 2008

Hi Everyone,

Here is a super fun, though not so super easy project I made for our family this year.  I pretty much copied this tutorial verbatim because I absolutely LOVED it!  Beate did such a great job with it, though she has much, much more patience than me, I used my cricut to cut out the letters and numbers because there was NO way I was going to cut those suckers out by hand! 🙂

img_1993 img_1995

We have used it the last 2 days so every time Kyler walks past he looks up and says “Some” which is his way of asking for another piece of candy!  It’s pretty cute!

Well, I hope you all had a very nice Thanksgiving week and are enjoying the Christmas season!
