Birthday cards

Posted by emileehathaway on February 17, 2009

Hey there!

Here are a couple of birthday cards, I totally stole out of the SU catalog.  I thought they were super cute and wouldn’t be too hard to make.  I made 2 of each card and it only took about a half an hour, so in an hour I had 4 cards.  That is SO not like me.  It did feel really good to get so many done in such a short time though.

Unique Valentine for my Sweetie

Posted by emileehathaway on February 13, 2009

Hi Ladies!

I had every intention of posting yesterday but let’s just say, it was one of those days!  It started at the crack of dawn with one thing after another and it didn’t stop until I went to bed!  I’m just glad it’s OVER!

img_2194 img_2195

I got the inspiration for this card over on the CuttlebugChallenge website.  They challenged some of their designers to create a card with a unique opening.  One of the girls used a brad to slide the card open, but since I didn’t have a brad that I liked I used a snap.  I always try to make really special cards for Andrew.  He’s such a great husband and father and I want to show him how much I appreciate him, so this year here is his valentine card.  I used my cricut to cut out the curly bracket for the shape of the card and the inlay.  I think I’ve already said this, but I LOVE the Story book cartridge!  The lettering and medallion’s are so stinkin’ cool!

Andrew and I are going out for Valentine’s today instead of tomorrow in hopes that we beat the crowds or that there are not as many people out today.  We have had (as I am sure you have too) too many experiences waiting for over 2 or 3 hours before you even get seated and I’m here to tell you this humongous pregnant lady is NOT waiting 3 hours to sit down!  🙂 LOL!

I hope you all have a super weekend and a really nice Valentines day!

Cherish

Posted by emileehathaway on February 10, 2009

I am so excited!  My brother is getting married to THE cutest girl and so I wanted to make them an elegant “congratulations on your engagement” card!  I have seen several black and white cards with the baroque motifs set (so I don’t know exactly who to give credit to for the case) and thought it would be perfect for the elegant feel I was trying to go for.

Well, it’s snowing outside and my boys are off to work (Kyler Loves to go to work with Andrew) and I’m sitting in my craft room making cards for my first order … I was so flattered when I was asked to make them and actually get paid to do it 🙂  Sounds like the start to the perfect day, don’t you think?

You girlies have a super day!

Hi Everyone!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend, I know I am!  Me and my Ladies had club yesterday and it was SUPER fun!

Well, it’s that time again, Scrapbook Sunday and here is another 6×6 page I made of my little guy.  I love this picture!  he looks like a little pirate with that bandanna on.  I am not sure where he found it, but he brought it into the kitchen and insisted on wearing it.  He’s super silly!

Here is the card that coordinates with the gift I showed you yesterday.  I have got to say, the Storybook Cartridge is one of my new favorites.  I love all the options that cartridge has.  If you have a cricut you NEED this cart.

Here is a super fun project I made the other day for MIL’s birthday.  I bought the tin plate at Roberts and then used my Cricut to cut out the vinyl to attach it to the tin.  I really liked how it turned out and I think she will too!  I just love the butterflies … so fun!

Hope you ladies have a super day!

Happy Valentine’s Day! cards

Posted by emileehathaway on February 3, 2009

So, I’m a day late and more than a dollar short!  I know I said that I would post these yesterday, but it was a bit of a crazy day and I have been running errands and hanging out with Kyler so this is the first chance I’ve had to post.

Here are the cards I made for Valentine’s day.  I cased it from someone on SCS and now I can’t find the card.  It’s also  based on Mojo Monday week 69’s sketch.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Square Holder

Posted by emileehathaway on February 1, 2009

I saw this  tutorial on SCS on Wednesday and really wanted to try it out, and you know how I feel about treat boxes.  I LOVE ’em!  So as soon as I made these I ran to the store to buy the candy to stick put in these little boxes.

My boys had work to do yesterday so I had 5 whole hours in my craft room, though about 1 1/2 was spent cleaning!  It was a disaster.  Hurricane Emilee had passed through and it was so bad!  But I spend the rest of my time making Valentine stuff, I made all my cards (I’ll post them tomorrow) and then I made these fun little boxes.  If you check the tutorial out, I totally admit I cased Beate’s box verbatim, but I just loved how it turned out.  The only thing extra I did was use crystal effects on the flower and paper pierced the white scallops.
