Are you ready for the holidays?

Posted by emileehathaway on November 3, 2009

I am!  I have been Christmas shopping since August!  I love Christmas, it is my favorite holiday!

I got my Christmas supplies order and couldn’t wait to use my new goodies and here are the first 2 things I made.  The box is super duper cute and super easy to use!  You get five in a package and these are going to be awesome neighbor gifts.  All I need to do is a little holiday baking … But that will need to wait until December! 🙂

The little canister is filled with candy for my sweetie … it is simply a Crystal light canister modified.

Don’t you love the ornament on top?  I’ve seen these all over the internet so I don’t know who to give credit to, but it is just 3 ornament punches folded in half, hooked together and attached to the lid.

Both of these projects together took only 20 minutes!  Can you believe that?

Have a super day!

Stamps:  Definitely Decorative
Papers:  DSP from Christmas Jingle Simply Scrappin’
Ink: Real Red
Goodies:  Treat Boxes, Real Red polka dot ribbon, ornament punch, metal edge tags

I’ve been busy …

Posted by emileehathaway on August 3, 2009

With the cutest little boy!  My little Carson is so dang cute and my Kyler is so cute with him!

I know I haven’t posted in a really long time, but I’ve been having so much fun being a mom I haven’t made anything since club last month!

But I do have a sneak peek at what we are doing for club on Saturday.  This was the technique for the week on Splitcoast and I had never made one before so I thought it would be super fun to make one for club.  They take a little bit of time to put together, but I really like the outcome.  Ladies, don’t worry about bringing any paper or embellishments, I’ll provide everything, just bring your paper trimmer, adhesive, and scissors.

Hope you like it, and I’ll see you on Saturday!

Club is this Saturday!!

Posted by emileehathaway on June 23, 2009

Alright Ladies … Hold on for the ride, this is going to be a LONG post!

YEAH … Club is this Saturday at 11:00 at my house, it feels like FOREVER since we have had club and I am SO excited!

OK, so we are making stationary boxes and 3 mini cards.  Here is the list of stuff you need to bring, just in case you forgot …

  • 2 pieces of Designer Paper, ribbon or any embellishments you want to decorate your cards and stationary box
  • Paper Trimmer
  • Scissors
  • Adhesive
  • Your Catalog

This post  is one idea for your stationary box, here are some more ideas.  These first couple of pictures are the same kind of idea as the previous post.  I made this one for my Grandma for her birthday.  Her favorite color is red and she sends out more cards than any woman I know so I thought this would be the perfect gift for her.  So ladies, you can make these boxes as elaborate or as plain as you like.  As you all know, more is more in my book and I love to embellish the crap out of my stuff.  🙂

This next idea I had, probably because I have baby on the brain :), (he is 7 weeks old tomorrow, can you believe it?) is to double up the boxes and make a gift bag.  I filled it with a onesie and shoes on one side and bath supplies on the other.

So, what do you think?  Are you as excited about this project as I am?  It’s going to be super fun!

The other idea I had was a recipe card holder … I didn’t make one, just thought it would work for this box.  It’s your choice what kind of box you want to make so for Saturday be sure to bring everything you want to make your box super fabulous and your cards incredibly cute!

See you then!

She flaked out … again

Posted by emileehathaway on April 24, 2009

Ok – so it has been FOREVER since I have posted.  I apologize for that, but hopefully you understand that when life gets busy, family comes first 🙂

I have lots of fun things to show you!  But first thing up on the agenda is what we made for club last Saturday.  One of my ladies requested a class on chipboard, like a year ago, so I finally got around to it last Saturday.  Here is what we made, they could choose between the owl or the bird.

After putting the bird together, I think it would have looked A LOT better if had flipped the DSP to the other side … but didn’t think of that until I had everything glued on.

I have been having really bad braxton hicks contractions the last couple of days, so it’s back to laying on the couch for me!  I only have about 4 weeks left and I am NOT ready for this baby to come yet so I better take it easy  🙂

I hope you ladies have a super weekend!

Emilee 🙂

Stamps:  Wow Flowers
Paper:  Good Morning Sunshine DSP, So Saffron, Pacific Point
Ink:  Choc chip, pumpkin pie and basic black markers (to color the beak of the owl and eye of the bird)
Goodies:  So Tweet chipboard, choc chip ribbon, so saffron ribbon, punches, sanding blocks

Bridal Shower Invites

Posted by emileehathaway on March 19, 2009

Last weekend my Mom came over to help me make these.  (Thanks Mom!)  We are throwing a bridal shower for my brother’s fiance and this is what I came up with for the invites.

I probably could have done a better job with blanking out the address and phone number on this picture, but this is what you get … sorry!

Anyways … I really like how they turned out.  What do you think?

They are relatively simple, but when you have to mass produce them you don’t want anything too hard to make.  I also must say the Cricut is totally worth it!  I have used this thing a lot lately!  I used it to cut out the flower embellishment.

Have a super day Ladies!  I am super excited for tomorrow!  I think I might go to the Scrapbook expo and it’s my 5 year anniversary.  Should be a really nice day!

Stamps:  None
Paper:  Barely Banana, kraft, WW
Ink:  None
Goodies:  Eyelet punch, Cricut machine, Walk in my Garden Cricut Cartridge, brads, ticket punch, ribbon
